•    Alternative to A Painting

Canvas has traditionally been used as the medium for oil paintings. With technology, you can now enjoy photographic art on canvas much like the way you would admire a piece of painting. Canvas art prints are commonly found in galleries worldwide.

The photograph is printed directly onto a piece of high-quality canvas and is stretched onto a hardwood frame. As opposed to a framed print, the concealed frame does not take attention away from the art piece itself and you do not suffer from the reflections of a glass. You can therefore admire the art piece from all angles.

1.    Canvas material

The canvas that is being used to print all Canvasblanc’s works is acid free and contains no optical brighteners. This means that our works are protected against ageing and enhances durability to last for up to 100 years. Furthermore, the material is almost denim thick and presents a solid foundation to the photographic art pieces that you’ll find here.

2.    Ink
Only independently tested and certified inks are used in the printing. Such inks have been proven not to fade for between 75 and 200 years.

3.    Laminating agent
The laminating agent serves as a protection for the ink and adds to the durability of the prints. It is polyurethane based, contains ultra-violet blockers and has antifungal properties that ensure our canvas prints survive the humidity in our environment. The laminate is also scratch resistant, water resistant and helps boost the colour in the canvas prints.

4.    Frames

The frames are first grade kiln-dried meranti wood that is rot-resistant and fully uniform in texture. This wood has been used for fine joinery for decades around the world and the results are hand-cut premium timber frames that allow the canvas prints to sit flush against the wall for a seamless feel.

From the time an order is received, it would take approximately 7 - 10 days for the delivery of the product. All orders will be personally inspected for quality before delivery.

•    Care for Canvas Art Prints
To maintain and increase the lifespan of your canvas art, do not expose it to continuous, strong sunlight or moisture. Do not clean it with a wet/damp cloth; a light vacuum with the brush attachment will get rid of any dust on the surface.
